At Bright Health Park the Colorado 14ers easily handled the Bumpass BS by the
score of 13 to 9.
Dave Chalk provided much of the offense. He slapped a single plating two runs
in the 4th inning, blasted a solo shot in the 7th inning and banged out a
one-base hit which brought home a run in the 8th inning. Due to a poorly
pitched ballgame, scoring in 6 different innings was still not enough for
Bumpass to come away with the victory.
Bruce Sutter(1-2) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings. Don
Aase(0-3) was charged with the loss. Colorado knocked him around a bit, as
he gave up 8 runs in 3 and 2/3 innings.
