TEAM RISP- Silver Sluggers: 0 for 9 Royalty: 4 for 16

Frank Thomas cracked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the Cincinatti Royalty
defeated the Sterling Silver Sluggers 8 to 2 at Wrigley Field.

It seemed that Sterling pitching was serving up softballs for Thomas to hit.
He ripped a single scoring a run in the 1st inning, smashed a two-run homer
in the 5th inning and blasted a two-run home run in the 7th inning. For the
game Cincinatti out-hit Sterling 14 to 7.

The win was credited to Steve Barber(3-1) who went 8 innings allowing 2 runs.
The loss was charged to Bud Daley(2-2). He was unable to control the
Cincinatti offense and allowed 10 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings.

'I had a big day, but there's a lot of credit to go around' Thomas said. 'We
played well together as a team.'
