Johnny Wyrostek hit 2 doubles as the Bristol Blasters outscored the Denver

Bristol took the lead for good in the top of the 4th inning scoring one runner
on 2 base hits. Denver threatened in the 9th but Bristol was able to put
down the rally.
Vern Bickford(1-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 8 innings and allowing
2 runs. Joe Page recorded the save, his 1st. Howie Fox(0-1) was the loser.
'We lose our concentration for one pitch, and we lose the game.' Wayne Stanko
said after the game. 'Maybe now these guys will listen when I say they have
to concentrate on EVERY pitch.'
