WEB GEMS- Top 7th: Joe Boley robbed Jackie Tavener of a base hit.

Cool Papa Bell had 4 hits and 3 RBI at The Looney Bin where the Minnesota
Loons beat the Mid-World Bumblers 7 to 5.

Bell had a big day at the plate. He singled in the 1st inning, doubled scoring
two baserunners in the 4th inning, lined a one-base hit bringing in a run in
the 6th inning and tripled in the 8th inning. Minnesota had 11 hits for the
afternoon.

Mountain Drop Mitchell(2-0) went 7 innings allowing 5 runs for the victory.
Watty Clark earned the save, his 4th. The losing pitcher was Sam
Streeter(4-3). He allowed 10 hits and 6 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings.

With this win, Minnesota has a division leading 14-2 record. They have been
3-7 lately. Mid-World can't seem to snap out of their recent 'funk'. Now
they have a miserable 1-9 record over the last couple weeks.
