Lonnie Summers homered and had 4 RBI as the Hibbing Dylans defeated the Pinch
Quicks by the score of 10 to 3 at The Coal Bowl.
Summers led the offense for Hibbing. He belted a three-run homer in the 1st
inning, laced a one-base hit in the 3rd inning and slapped a base-hit which
scored a run in the 7th inning. Hibbing had 12 hits for the afternoon while
Pinch had 7.
The victory went to Dick Fowler(1-0) who went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs. Jeep
Jessup(2-1) was charged with the loss. By surrending 8 runs in 6 and 2/3
innings his ERA jumped from 1.53 to 4.07.
