At Kaufmann Stadium the Colorado 14ers offense put up 6 runs on the scoreboard
in the 6th inning and outdistanced the Hibbing Dylans by a final score of 6
to 2.
Colorado delivered all the runs required in the 6th inning scoring 6 runners
on 5 hits. The big moment was provided by Brett Butler who made the crowd
come alive when he doubled with all three runners coming home. The game was
a scoreless duel until the 6th inning.
The victory was credited to A.J. Sager(2-0) who went 1 inning, allowing no
runs. Doug Jones preserved the game for Sager, recording his his 4th save.
The loss was charged to Al Leiter(2-1). Despite losing, he struckout 8
Colorado batters in 5 and 1/3 innings.
