Oscar Levis took a no-hitter into the 9th inning at Mile High Ballpark as the
Denver Dingers beat the Towanda Black Knights 3 to 0.
Levis(5-0) was indeed brilliant as he hand-cuffed the Towanda offense. He
didn't give up much, just 1 hit and 1 walk in 9 innings reducing his ERA from
1.86 to 1.42. The right-handed Levis had his no-hit bid broken up by Milton
Lewis who singled with two outs in the 9th inning. Both teams' bats went to
sleep after the 3rd inning with no runs scored after that point.
The loss was charged to Ray Kremer(2-2). He surrendered 5 hits and 3 walks in
8 innings.
