Silver Sluggers beat the Pittsburgh Bichipoos in 13 innings by the count of 6
to 4.
The score was knotted at 4 after nine innings. Sterling came out the victor
in the 13th inning. Sandy Alomar led off the inning for Sterling when he
slapped a single. Ryne Sandberg followed and he popped a two-run clout over
the fence giving Sterling the win and sending the home town fans into a
frenzy. Sterling finished with 13 hits while Pittsburgh ended up with 8.
