Right fielder Jeff Burroughs had 3 base hits and 2 RBI as the New Jersey
Jackals defeated the ice-cold Zygton Zabra by a score of 9 to 4 at Double
Wide Park.
New Jersey had the winning rally in the 8th inning plating 3 runs on 5 hits.
After an out was recorded, Jim Sundberg jump-started the rally as he
delivered a one-base hit. George Brett came to the plate and ripped a
base-hit. Bud Harrelson then lined a base-hit. Hank Aaron followed next and
he launched a three-run homer. For the game New Jersey out-hit Zygton 15 to
7.
Tom House(2-1) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the victory. Steve
Kline(2-1) was the loser in relief. The New Jersey ballclub's record now
stands at 19-25. Zygton's manager was unhappy with his club's recent
performance. 'We can't keep losing games' he said. 'It gets to be
embarrassing after a while.'
