Len Pigg rocketed 2 homeruns and Pat Scantlebury went 9 strong innings at The
Rum Cellar as the Savannah Rumrunners, running on all cylinders, ripped the
Tenth Avenue Freezeouts by a large 13 to 2 margin.

Pigg enjoyed a great day at the plate. Every time he came up in the latter
innings, the crowd was on their feet cheering. He hit a single scoring two
baserunners in the 2nd inning, caught a hold of a fastball for a Grand Slam
homerun in the 6th inning and hit a 'grand salami' to the delight of his
teammates in the 7th inning. Savannah banged out 16 hits on the afternoon.

Scantlebury(6-2) was the winner allowing 2 runs for the game. Ellis
Kinder(3-4) took the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 16 hits and 5 walks
in 7 innings.

'I had good swings today,' Pigg said, 'Everything felt right'.
