Jack Fournier had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Colorado 14ers defeated the The
Little Feat 5 to 4 at Lowell George Park.
The deciding run was scored by Colorado in the top of the 8th. Willie Wells
singled. Wells then stole second base. Two outs later Riggs Stephenson came
up and he laced a single scoring the run. The Little made it exciting in the
9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across.
Zip Campbell(1-2) allowed no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Garland Braxton recorded the save, his 6th. Rats Henderson(1-5) was
the loser. He pitched 7 innings allowing 9 hits and no walks.
'This was a tough loss,' said John Demijistre, 'the kind that sticks with you
for awhile.'
