Frank Malzone blasted 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Iowa MoonlightGraham
defeated the Bristol Blasters by the score of 5 to 3 at Forbes
Field.
Malzone enjoyed a big evening at the plate. He laced a single in the 2nd
inning, delivered a solo blast in the 5th inning, blasted a two-run home run
in the 6th inning and stroked a one-base hit scoring a run in the 8th inning.
Bristol had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.
Ralph Terry(4-5) was the winner allowing 3 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings. Frank
Funk earned his 7th save. Dick Ellsworth(3-2) was the loser. 'It felt
really nice to get this win,' Terry said. 'I kind of dictated the game. It's
what I get paid to do. It worked out this time.'
