Jimmy Bloodworth homered and had 5 RBI as the Bristol Blasters defeated the
Pittsburgh Bichipoos by a score of 12 to 7 at The Couch.
Bloodworth had a big day with his bat. He hit a single bringing in a run in
the 1st inning, doubled which was good for two runs in the 2nd inning and
blasted a two-run home run in the 8th inning. Bristol had 15 hits for the
afternoon while Pittsburgh had 11.
The win went to Mel Parnell(5-4) who allowed 7 runs in 8 and 2/3 innings.
Allie Reynolds(1-3) ended up with the loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing
6 hits and 4 walks in 2 innings.
