separated the combatants at game's end. The Sugarland Skeeters ended a long
winless drought and won by the slimmest of margins, 3 to 2.
Milt Pappas(3-5) was solid in the win. He didn't give up much, just 4 hits
and 3 walks in 8 innings. Overall Sugarland out-hit Pittsburgh 9 to 4.
Terry Fox preserved the game for Pappas, recording his his 9th save. Jack
Sanford(6-3) was the loser. He pitched 7 innings giving up 8 hits and 3
walks.
