With the hometown crowd on the edge of their seats, Pinch Quicks came from
behind to top Sterling Silver Sluggers, 2 to 1.

Pinch won the game with a rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 2
runs.  After an out was recorded, Ted Williams keyed the rally when he drew a
walk.  One out later, Jack Graham stepped up to the plate and he bombed a
two-run dinger making Pinch victorious to the delight of the the home town
crowd.  Sterling out-hit Pinch 6 to 3, but Pinch ended up with more runs.

Gene Collins(3-1) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1/3 of an inning.
Ted Alexander(0-1) absorbed the loss in relief.  He allowed 2 runs and 1 hit
in 2/3 of an inning.
