Everready Roberts shut Mid-World down as the Sterling Silver Sluggers beat the
Mid-World Bumblers by a score of 5 to 4.

Sterling had 3 runs cross the plate in the top of the 5th inning when they
came up with 3 base hits. The biggest moment was provided by Hughie Critz
who quieted the home crowd when he doubled which was good for two runs.
Although they lost, Mid-World did out-hit Sterling 14 to 10.

Yellowhorse Morris(6-4) went 7 and 1/3 innings allowing 4 runs for the win.
Morris got help from Roberts who was credited with his 15th save. Joe
Shaute(6-4) took the loss.

'I just wanted to give my team a chance to win.' said Morris, 'I got burned on
a couple of pitches. But we won the game, and that's all that matters.'
