In a lop-sided win the Pittsburgh Bichipoos ended a long winless drought and
ripped the Hibbing Dylans by a 7 to 2 count.
Pittsburgh took the lead for good in the 3rd inning when they came up with 2
runs on 1 hit. That early scoring held up. Pittsburgh rapped out 8 hits for
the night.
Dick Lemay(1-1) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings. Don
Cardwell(7-8) took the loss. He allowed 8 hits and 5 walks in 5 innings.
'We really needed this win' said Pittsburgh's manager. 'That first drink of
water at the end of a drought sure does taste good!'
