innings as the Bristol Blasters beat the Pittsburgh Bichipoos by a score of

It was a good day for Bristol thanks to Thome. He belted a three-run homer in
the 1st inning, ripped a base-knock bringing in a run in the 2nd inning,
delivered a single in the 4th inning and laced a one-base hit in the 7th
inning. Bristol out-hit Pittsburgh for the game, 11 hits to 6.
