Providence scored 2 runs in the decisive 7th inning when they came up with 3
base hits. After an out was recorded, Duke Snider started the attack as he
stroked a base-hit. One out later, Mize came up and he popped a two-run
clout over the fence. Overall Providence out-hit The Little 9 to 4.
The win went to Jack Kramer(4-0) who allowed no runs in 1 inning. Kramer got
relief help from Jack Banta who gained credit for his 16th save. Willis
Cathey(1-4) was the losing pitcher in relief.
