Andy Hassler(6-4) got the win but did not look spectacular. He gave up 9 hits
and 5 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings. Minnesota finished with 14 hits in the
victory.
Mike Garman preserved the game for Hassler, recording his his 10th save.
Steve Renko(5-4) was the loser. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving
up 8 hits and 2 walks in 4 innings.
'He gutted it out' Minnesota's manager said of Hassler. 'I was very impressed
by his tenacity.'
