In a good matchup it was the Minnesota Loons 6, the Pittsburgh Bichipoos 3 at
The Looney Bin.
Pittsburgh was unable to climb back into it after Minnesota went ahead for
good in the bottom of the 3rd inning plating an isolated run. Minnesota won
despite being out-hit by Pittsburgh 15 hits to 9.
The win was credited to Garland Buckeye(7-6) who went 7 and 1/3 innings
allowing 3 runs. Watty Clark earned his 13th save. Robert McClure(5-13) was
hit with the loss. He allowed 4 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings.
With this win, Minnesota has a 54-47 record. They have been 6-4 lately.
Pittsburgh can't seem to snap out of their recent 'funk'. Now they have a
miserable 2-8 record over the last couple weeks.
