Bing Miller had 2 base hits and 6 RBI as the Minnesota Loons beat the
Pittsburgh Bichipoos by a score of 17 to 11.
Miller enjoyed a big day at the plate. He stroked a single which was good for
two runs in the 3rd inning and doubled plating three runs in the 3rd inning.
Minnesota bats were very productive in the 3rd inning with 10 runs on 8 hits
and the 4th inning which saw them score 6 runs on 5 hits. Due to a poorly
pitched ballgame, scoring in 5 different innings was still not enough for
Pittsburgh to come away with the victory.
The win was credited to Dazzy Vance(8-12) who went 5 innings allowing 9 runs.
Butch Glass(5-7) took the loss. He got hammered, allowing 5 hits and 3 walks
in 2 innings.
