Second baseman Rod Carew had 3 base hits as the New Jersey Jackals topped the
The Little Feat by a score of 6 to 5 at Arlington Stadium.

New Jersey won the game with a run in the 9th inning.  After two outs Jim
Sundberg doubled, and an error was also committed, scoring the run.  New
Jersey managed 12 hits in their victory.  

Tom House(5-2) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 and 1/3 innings and
allowing no runs. Vic Albury(3-2) absorbed the loss in relief.  He was pinned
with the loss despite not allowing an earned run in his 1 inning of work.
