topped the Pinch Quicks by the slimmest of margins, 4 to 3.
Vic Raschi(7-10) earned his pay with a solid performance for Cincinnati. He
allowed 5 hits and 3 walks in 8 and 1/3 innings. The teams had been locked
in a scoreless duel until the 6th inning.
Raschi was helped out by Satchel Paige who recorded his 10th save. Verdell
Mathis(2-6) took the loss. He pitched 6 innings giving up 5 hits and 3
