Butch Huskey left the yard at Windblown Stadium as the Sterling Silver
Sluggers won in their last at-bat beating the Cincinnati Royalty by the count
of 3 to 2.
The game was won by Sterling when they scored a run in the 9th inning. After
an out was recorded, Sandy Alomar smashed a solo-shot out of the park giving
Sterling the win as 35,503 happy fans joyfully celebrated. Cincinnati
out-hit Sterling 9 to 6, but Sterling ended up with more runs.
Mike Timlin(5-4) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 inning. Scott
Sullivan(2-3) suffered the loss in relief. He gave up 1 run and 1 hit in 1/3
of an inning.
This win by Sterling continues their recent hot streak. In their last ten
games, they have a record of 8-2. For the season, they are 53-41. With the
