WEB GEMS- Top 9th: Jose Pagan robbed Eddie Yost of a base hit.

Jack Curtis completed the game without help from the bullpen as the Queen
Qiller Bees defeated the Sugarland Skeeters by a score of 7 to 1 at County
Stadium.

Chuck Hinton had a good day at the plate. He launched a rocket-shot out of
the park for a Grand Slam homerun in the 3rd inning, delivered a base-hit in
the 6th inning and slapped a single which brought home a run in the 7th
inning. Both teams totaled 10 hits on the afternoon.

Curtis(5-2), allowing 1 run for the game, picked up the victory. Whitey
Ford(5-9) was the losing pitcher. 'Ahhh, that victory was surely needed.
Man alive, things were getting awfully grim,' noted Queen's manager. 'Now,
we need to string a bunch of wins together and turn things around!'
