WEB GEMS- Top 4th: Wayne Terwilliger robbed Les Moss of a base hit.

Third baseman Bob Wilson smacked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI at The Palace where
the Colorado 14ers beat the Cincinnati Royalty 10 to 1.

Wilson provided much of the offense. He lifted one out of the park for a two
run home run in the 1st inning, doubled scoring a run in the 2nd inning and
cleared the fences for a two-run home run in the 8th inning. Colorado had 15
hits for the afternoon while Cincinnati had 6.

Sheldon Jones(4-5) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 and 2/3 innings and
allowing 1 run. The losing pitcher was Bill Ricks(0-6). He got hit hard,
allowing 13 hits and 4 walks in 8 innings.

'It's almost like the ball was trying to hit my bat,' Wilson said. 'Whenever I
would swing, the ball found the sweet spot.'
