shutout the Pittsburgh Bichipoos in 11 innings 1 to 0.
The score was knotted at zero after nine innings. Providence ended up winning
it in the 11th inning. Lomax Davis lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' making
Providence the victor and beginning a joyous home town celebration.
Providence won despite being out-hit by Pittsburgh 8 hits to 2.
Al Benton(5-8) was the loser in relief. He pitched 1 and 1/3 innings allowing
