hard fought contest.
Zip Campbell(8-4) was the winning pitcher with a solid relief performance. He
gave up just 1 hit and no walks in 1 inning. Pittsburgh tried unsuccessfully
to come back in the 9th.
Garland Braxton got the save, his 18th. Bill Doak(4-9) was charged with the
