The Minnesota Loons edged the Sterling Silver Sluggers at The Looney Bin by
the score of 7 to 6.

Minnesota scored 5 runs in the decisive bottom of the 5th inning when they
came up with 4 base hits.  The biggest moment was provided by Norman Robinson
who excited the crowd when he doubled scoring two baserunners.  Sterling had
a chance in the 9th but they came up short.  

The victory was credited to Larry Jansen(7-7) who went 5 innings, allowing 4
runs. Ralph Buxton gained credit for his 5th save.  Warren Spahn(8-18)
absorbed the loss.  He was knocked around by Minnesota, allowing 8 hits and 2
walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.  

'It was a tough one to lose' said Connie Mack 'We'll get them next time out.'
