Vic Raschi carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning at The Palace as the
Cincinnati Royalty beat the Savannah Rumrunners by the count of 3 to
1.
Raschi(8-14) pitched a solid game. He didn't allow much, just 2 hits and 5
walks in 9 innings. The right-handed Raschi had his no-hit bid broken up by
Stan Musial who tripled with nobody out in the 6th inning. Cincinnati
finished with just 6 hits in the victory.
Samuel Williams(8-7) was the losing pitcher. 'It felt really nice to get this
win,' Raschi said. 'I kind of dictated the game. It's what I get paid to do.
It worked out this time.'
