Catcher Ivan Rodriguez went yard and had 3 RBI at Fenway Park as the Pinch
Quicks beat the Bristol Blasters in 13 innings by the count of 11 to 9.
Both teams were tied at 9 runs apiece after nine innings. Pinch won the game
in the 13th inning. Darryl Hamilton kicked off the action when he banged out
a single. After an out was recorded, Michael Tucker stepped up to the plate
and he drew a walk. Nomar Garciaparra then doubled driving in two more
baserunners. Both teams totaled 17 hits on the night.
The victory was credited to Frank Rodriguez(5-2) who went 1 inning, allowing
no runs. Rodriguez got help from Billy Wagner who was credited with his 25th
save. Mike Bielecki(1-2) took the loss in relief. He allowed 2 hits and 1
walk in 1 inning.
