The Minnesota Loons bested the Sterling Silver Sluggers by a 8 to 5 score at
Windblown Stadium.

Minnesota jumped on top of Sterling in the 4th inning scoring 2 runs on 2
hits.  Wade Boggs opened up the inning nicely when he drew a walk.  Shawn
Green stepped up to the plate and he doubled.  Scott Hatteberg then hit a
single scoring two baserunners.  Minnesota had 11 hits overall, while
Sterling had 5.  

The victory was credited to Ramon Garcia(11-8) who went 6 innings, allowing 3
runs. Ismael Valdes(9-7) was the loser.  He allowed a few too many
baserunners giving up 10 hits and 4 walks in 7 innings.  

The Minnesota ballclub's record now stands at 78-73.  With this loss, Sterling
has a 5-5 record of late, 82-70 overall.
