At Blaster Field the Iowa MoonlightGraham finally stopped their 6 slide with
the victory and outscored the Bristol Blasters 6 to 3.
In the 6th inning Iowa scored 3 runs when they had 4 base hits. It was enough
to earn the victory. For the game Iowa out-hit Bristol 13 to 6.
The victory went to Bobby Shantz(8-7) who went 5 innings, allowing 3 runs. Red
Munger earned his 2nd save. Eddie Lopat(9-16) absorbed the loss. He got
hammered, allowing 9 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings.
'Ahhh, that victory was surely needed. Man alive, things were getting awfully
grim,' noted Craig White. 'Now, we need to string a bunch of wins together
and turn things around!'
