One run was the difference at The TARDIS as the Gallifrey Time Lords defeated
the Savannah Rumrunners in 10 innings 2 to 1.
Both teams had scored 1 runs after nine full innings. Gallifrey was
victorious in the 10th inning. Eddie Lake slapped a base-hit. Jerry Scala
stepped up next and he drew a walk. Bobby Hogue then threw a pitch that got
away from the catcher. George Kell was up next and he worked the squeeze
play to perfection making Gallifrey the victors to the delight of the home
town faithful. Gallifrey had 7 hits for the afternoon.
The victory was credited to Doyle Lade(4-2) who went 2 innings, allowing no
runs. The loss was charged to Red Webb(3-1) in relief. He was unable to
retire a batter giving up 1 hit and 1 walk.
