Charles Johnson had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at Olympic Stadium where the Denver
Dingers beat the Pinch Quicks by the score of 4 to 1.

Denver took the lead for good in the 5th inning scoring 2 runners on 2 hits.
The crucial at-bat was provided by Johnson who disappointed the partisan
crowd when he doubled scoring two baserunners.  Denver had only 6 hits for
the afternoon.  

Tom Gordon(14-7) went 7 and 2/3 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. John
Wetteland earned the save, his 34th.  Wilson Alvarez(4-7) was hit with the
loss.  

The Denver ballclub's record now stands at a division leading 77-63.  With the
