In a thriller the Bristol Blasters staged a dramatic comeback over the
Colorado 14ers winning by a score of 5 to 4 at Blaster Field.
Bristol scored the winning runs in the bottom of the 9th inning with 2 runs.
After an out was recorded, Ossie Bluege was the sparkplug when he drew a
walk. Frog Redus stepped up to the plate and he laced a single. Redus took
second on the throw. Branch Russell then reached on an error making Bristol
victorious to the delight of the the home town crowd. Bristol managed 11
hits in their victory.
Webster McDonald(9-9) allowed no runs in 2 innings, and picked up the victory.
Garland Braxton(16-8) was the losing pitcher in relief. 'What a game!,'
McDonald said afterward. 'When we won it I almost couldn't believe it!'
