At Blaster Field the Colorado 14ers outdistanced the Bristol Blasters by a
final score of 6 to 2.
Colorado set the tone of the game in the first inning plating one baserunner
on 3 base hits. Johnny Neun smacked a single. Two outs later Riggs
Stephenson came to bat and laced a base-knock. Stephenson got a great jump
and stole second easily. Wally Schang followed next and he lined a one-base
hit scoring the run. Colorado banged out 8 hits on the afternoon.
The win went to Hal Carlson(10-9) who allowed 2 runs in 8 innings. Tom
Zachary(5-14) was the loser. He got hit hard, allowing 7 hits and 2 walks in
3 innings.
